This solo exhibition at The Architecture Centre, Bristol was the culmination of a year-and-a-half long project investigating the relationship between art and architecture, and the influence these two disciplines have on one another. Based on extensive research, this series of paintings, collages and drawings forms an enquiry into Modern houses in Cornwall. Focusing on six examples (Creek Vean, Pillwood, The Boat House, Tregannick, Polventon and Gradna) as points of reference, the enquiries led to a collection of work drawing on the formal qualities crucial to Modern architecture and design: order, light, space and geometric harmony.

Published to coincide with the exhibition, PLACE / A study of Modern houses in Cornwall is an 80 page book with texts by Jeremy Gould, Toby Paterson and Albert Hill. Full colour illustrations throughout, in an edition of 250.
